Basque Festival

Ongi Etorri to the Kern County Basque Club's 42nd annual Basque Festival.  Preparations are on the way and we will be needing volunteers to help us make this Festival a successful one.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact one of the board members.

There are a block of rooms available at the newly renovated Padre Hotel in downtown Bakersfield.  This historic hotel has 2 great bars and a fabulous restaurant.  The cost is $139 and there are 10 rooms reserved. Be sure to book it before May 14th and ask for the Basque Picnic in order to receive the group rate. Another hotel is the DoubleTree for $89/night. The phone numbers are 888-779-4694 or 661-323-7111.  Be sure to ask for the Kern County Basque Club rate and the code is C-KCB.  Be sure to book your room by April 22; after this date the price will increase to at least $169/night.  The hotel will block only a limited number of rooms. 

The Sheraton is also offering a competitive room rate of $89/night that must be booked by May 9th.  Contact Jessica at 661-862-7423.  Be sure to mention Basque Festival to get the $95 rate!

The Holiday Inn & Suites located at 3927 Marriott Dr. is offering rooms at $89/night-be sure to mention the Basque Festival to secure that rate!

There is a city wide event so availabilty for rooms could be limited.  Book your rooms asap.  Hope to see you here!
