Paleta games raise the competitive spirit as Basque indarra is showcased in a
match between Bakersfield and San Francisco.
Following the games will be an Evening Dance, featuring music for all ages by
Jean Flesher and Pampi.
Raffle $20 ... Roundtrip airfare for ONE to the Basque Country or $1500 cash
... 2nd $500, 3rd $250 - proceeds go to covering the handball court.
Sunday, May 29th
Gates open at 8:00 a.m. followed by Basque Mass at 10:00. Father Marcel Tillous
will celebrate traditional mass with Klika musicians and young dancers.
A delicious Lamb Barbecue will be served from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Adults
pay only $15 and $8 for Children under 12. Following lunch, a parade of
musicians and dancers commences the afternoon program. Dancers from preschool
to young adult ages will perform the folkloric dances and a special
performance by the Klika musicians. Capping off the afternoon will be Handball
Games by our Eskual Herriko pilotariak (Basque handball players).
Soon after the games you can enjoy the music of Jean Flesher and his band.
NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN
